Astrid’s memory will live long in my heart, as it will no doubt with family and friends. The times I’ve spent with her, she was always loving and caring and showed compassion. I remember her telling me about stories from the Philippines and how much she loves her daughter. May she Rest In Peace with our Heavenly Father and watch over Monica, Josh and her beautiful grandchildren Rhys and Kai.

I’ve met Astrid when I was very young and I remember her as such a beautiful lady. My mother Amelia Gomez, was her godmother and they were very close. A few years ago, Astrid found me perhaps through Facebook and we were able to talk and reconnect after so many decades. I became Facebook friends with Monica after and communicated via this platform. Astrid has given me insight to her relationship with my mother and the bonds they share. I will forever be grateful for that. I pray for Astrid’s soul and may she rest at peace. With love to Monica and the whole Oyco family.

I still remember Astrid (as well as two of her brothers, Ludy and Baby) quite well and her visits to the Pacific Exchange offices in Manila before she left for the United States in the mid-1960’s.

    Condolences to the Oyco/Ankenbrand families.

    Rest in peace, dear Astrid.

Astrid, thank you for all your advice and words of wisdom. I should have listened to them more in my youth. You were there when needed and could be counted on no matter the cost. I was sorry to hear about passing and will remember you the way you were when our paths crossed. Rest in peace!
