Honoring Our Veterans

Experts in planning military services
Olive Tree Mortuary has extensive experience in planning military services and helping families obtain the veteran’s services to which they are entitled.

If your loved one served in any branch of the U.S. military and received anything other than a dishonorable discharge, he or she is eligible for a variety of services from the Veteran’s Administration. In addition, we can help you determine if your loved one is also eligible for a monetary burial allowance.

Olive Tree Mortuary can take care of all of the paperwork and arrangements to help you obtain:

Military Honors at the funeral or service, including a detail of two or more uniformed military persons, folding and presenting the United States burial flag and the playing of Taps

Internment in one of 134 national cemeteries with available space

Perpetual care of the grave

Burial flag to drape the casket or accompany the urn

Headstone or marker in a standard Government size and style. For burials, flat markers in granite, marble and bronze, and upright headstones in granite and marble are available. In addition, bronze niche markers are also available to mark columbaria used for cremated remains.

Presidential Memorial Certificate

What We’ll Need from You
To prove eligibility for all of these services, a copy of an official military discharge document (DD214) bearing an official seal and showing that the release from service was under conditions other than dishonorable, is generally required.

If you cannot locate the discharge papers, we can walk you through the process of ordering another copy on an expedited basis.
